About Skillaroo

At Skillaroo, we are dedicated to providing emerging IT and Accounting professionals with the skills and knowledge they need to excel.
As a career-ready training provider, we are interested in establishing a mutually beneficial partnership for an internship or employment opportunity that allows our students to gain real-world accounting or IT experience within your organisation.
We propose that our students commit anywhere between 14-40 hours per week, over an 8-12 week period, to work as interns in your organisation. We are flexible with regards to the working hours and days to accommodate the needs of your organisation.

Roles & Responsibilities

The roles and responsibilities of the intern, the host organization and Skillaroo Pty Ltd are outlined below.

Skillaroo Pty Ltd

  • Initiating and maintaining contact with the host organization and the student.
  • Providing support and guidance to the student and the host organization.
  • Preparing and managing the internship agreement between the student and the host organization.
  • Ensuring that the student is provided with a safe and supportive work environment.
  • Monitoring the student’s progress and providing necessary support.

Host Organization

  • Reviewing shortlisted candidates and selecting the intern.
  • Reviewing and signing the internship agreement.
  • Providing the intern with a safe and supportive work environment and necessary resources.
  • Communicating the intern’s responsibilities and expectations.
  • Communicating with Skillaroo Pty Ltd regarding the intern’s progress and any issues.


  • Completing the application process and providing necessary documents.
  • Complying with the host organization’s policies and procedures.
  • Proactively engaging in learning and contributing to the host organization.
  • Seeking clarification and guidance from the host organization and Skillaroo Pty Ltd when needed.
  • Participating in the debrief session at the end of the internship.
How it works

Engagement Process

  1. Initial Contact

    Skillaroo Representatives will reach out to discuss the possibilities and expectations.

    Clarification and question about the engagement will be addressed.

  2. Agreement

    The agreement will detail the expectations, roles, and responsibilities of Skillaroo, the host organization, and the student.

    The agreement is reviewed, signed, and returned before moving on to Shortlisting.

  3. Shortlisting

    Skillaroo will assess and vet the candidates based on their resumes and the requirements of the host organization.

    A shortlist of candidates will be sent to the host organization for review.

  4. Interview

    The host organization is expected to meet the candidates and assess their suitability for the role at hand.

    Feedback about the candidates is also shared with Skillaroo.

  5. Commencement

    The selected intern will begin their internship on the agreed-upon date.

    An induction session should be organized by the host organization to familiarise the intern with the organization's environment, policies, and procedures.

  6. Support

    Regular updates on the intern's progress should be shared with Skillaroo.

    Skillaroo will provide ongoing support and address any concerns or issues that may arise during the internship.

  7. Debriefing

    At the end of the internship, a detailed debrief session will be held to discuss the intern's experiences, performance, and any areas of improvement.

    Feedback from both the host organization and the intern will be valued to enhance the overall internship program.
